Teotihuacan
Teotihuacan, the 'city of the gods', its Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon and the Avenue of the Dead, and on the way the Basilica of Guadalupe.

Valladolid, Chichén Itzá, Mérida and Uxmal.
Day 4
Mexico City – Cancún
Flight to Cancún, on the Caribbean Sea.
Day 5
Cancún – Valladolid
Valladolid, a colonial town of pastel houses, and a cenote.
Day 6
Chichén Itzá – Izamal – Mérida
Izamal, the yellow town, then Chichén Itzá, one of the new seven wonders of the world, its Kukulcán pyramid and its great ball court, and a swim in a cenote.
Day 7
Celestún
The Celestún reserve, by boat to see the pink flamingos, then Mérida, the white city.
Day 8
Uxmal – Bacalar
The Maya site of Uxmal, then across the peninsula to Bacalar.
Days 9-12
Lagoon, jungle and beach.

Bacalar
A day on the seven-coloured lagoon: swimming, kayaking and Cenote Azul.

Cobá – Playa del Carmen
The Maya site of Cobá, its Nohoch Mul pyramid in the middle of the jungle, then Playa del Carmen.
