Arrival in Reykjavik
Flight to Reykjavik, welcome and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2
Golden Circle – Borgarnes
The Golden Circle: Þingvellir park, where the American and Eurasian plates drift apart, the Strokkur geyser and the Gullfoss waterfall.
Day 3
Skagafjörður – Akureyri
The Hraunfossar waterfalls, Skagafjörður and its horses, the turf-roofed farms of Glaumbær, then Akureyri, capital of the north.
Day 4
Akureyri – Mývatn
Lake Mývatn, its pseudo-craters, the Dimmuborgir lava fields and the Námafjall solfataras, and the Dettifoss waterfall.
Days 5-8
Fjords, glaciers and black sand.
Day 5
Mývatn – East Fjords
The desert highlands, then the East Fjords and their fishing villages.
Day 6
Jökulsárlón – Vík
Skaftafell park at the foot of Vatnajökull, Europe's largest glacier, and the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon and its icebergs.
Day 7
South coast – Reykjavik
The south coast: the Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, the black sand beach of Reynisfjara and its basalt columns, and the village of Vík.
Day 8
Back to France
Transfer to Keflavík airport and fly to France.
