Days 1-4
A first, high-altitude park at the foot of Mount Meru, then the Ngorongoro crater and a night in camp at the gates of the Serengeti.
Day 1
Flight to Tanzania
Board a scheduled flight to Tanzania. Dinner and night on board.

Day 2
Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro international airport and transfer to your lodge in Arusha. Check in and overnight. If your flight lands the night before, an extra night in Arusha can be added as an option.

Day 3
Arusha National Park – Karatu
A day's safari in Arusha National Park, 137 km² between the slopes of Mount Meru (4,565 m), the Ngurdoto crater and the Momella lakes, where you see the black-and-white colobus and flamingos. Picnic, then drive to the farming region of Karatu. Optional: a two-hour walking safari with a ranger.

Day 4
The Ngorongoro crater – Olduvai
A day in the Ngorongoro crater, a caldera 20 km across whose 600-metre wall shelters very dense wildlife. Picnic on the crater floor, then climb out towards the Olduvai camp. On arrival, a walk with Maasai warriors to the top of a kopje, for sunset over the Serengeti plains.

Days 5-7
The Serengeti, 14,000 km² and the highest concentration of big cats in the world, then two nights in the Grumeti area, to the west, where the safari is also done on foot and at night.
Day 5
Serengeti National Park – Grumeti
A long day's safari in the Serengeti, with a picnic: the vast plains of the south, the wooded hills of the west, the kopjes of the east. Arrive in the Grumeti area at the end of the day.

Day 6
Grumeti: walking safari and night safari
A light snack, then an early walking safari with a ranger and a guide, and breakfast in the bush. The late morning and afternoon are free at camp. After dinner, a night safari by electric 4x4: bushbabies, genets, and hyenas, lions or leopards behaving very differently from the daytime.

Day 7
From the Serengeti to Karatu across the Ngorongoro plains
Drive across the Serengeti and then the plains of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a picnic. Here, unlike in the national parks, the Maasai still live as herders on their ancestral land, among the wildlife. Arrive at the lodge at the end of the day.

Days 8-10
The last park of the trip, one of the finest refuges for Tanzania's big game, with a night in camp.
Day 8
Tarangire National Park
An early start for Tarangire, safari and picnic. The park is home to species that are hard to see elsewhere in the north: the gerenuk, the lesser kudu, the oryx. Arrive at camp at the end of the day.

Day 9
Tarangire – Arusha – flight home
Leave for Arusha, lunch, then transfer to Kilimanjaro airport. Dinner and night on board.

Day 10
Arrival in France
Arrival in France during the day.
