Drive to La Fortuna, at the foot of Arenal volcano.
Day 4
Arenal
Arenal Volcano national park, its frozen lava flows, its hanging bridges in the forest and in the evening the hot springs.
Days 5-11
Volcanoes, clouds and beach.
Day 5
Arenal – Rincón de la Vieja
Drive to Guanacaste.
Day 6
Rincón de la Vieja
Rincón de la Vieja park, its fumaroles, bubbling mud pools and waterfalls, in the dry Guanacaste region.
Day 7
Rincón de la Vieja – Monteverde
The Monteverde cloud forest, its hanging bridges above the canopy, its hummingbirds and perhaps the resplendent quetzal.
Day 8
Monteverde – Manuel Antonio
Down to the Pacific coast and Manuel Antonio.
Day 9
Manuel Antonio
Manuel Antonio park, its white sand beaches fringed with forest, its capuchin monkeys and sloths.

Manuel Antonio – San José – flight home
Back to San José and fly to France.
