A journey between the white-sand beaches of the north coast, the Dunn's River Falls climbed barefoot, and the Blue Mountains, home to one of the world's most sought-after coffees.
Few waterfalls in the world can be climbed directly, barefoot, forming a hand-in-hand human chain — yet that's exactly what the Dunn's River Falls offer, tumbling over two hundred metres down to spill directly into the Caribbean Sea. The limestone rock, shaped into natural steps by centuries of flowing water, makes the climb accessible to most ages, under the supervision of local guides.
Grown between eight hundred and seventeen hundred metres above sea level, in a cool, misty climate that favours slow bean maturation, Blue Mountain coffee ranks among the most sought-after and expensive in the world. Family plantations, often passed down across generations, offer visits that trace the whole chain — from the hand-picking of the red cherries to artisan roasting.
