Pompeii – the Amalfi Coast
Pompeii, the Roman town frozen by the eruption of Vesuvius in AD 79, its streets, villas and frescoes. The Amalfi Coast, its cliff-hanging villages, Positano and Amalfi, and its lemon groves.
Day 4
Capri
The island of Capri, its Faraglioni, the Gardens of Augustus and Anacapri.
Day 5
The Riviera of Ulysses
The coast between Gaeta and Sperlonga, its beaches and white villages.
Days 6-8
The Eternal City.
Day 6
Riviera of Ulysses – Rome
Rome, the Eternal City: the Colosseum and the Forum, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona and the Spanish Steps.
Day 7
Rome
Vatican City, St Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums with the Sistine Chapel.
Day 8
Back to France
Transfer to Rome airport and fly to France.
