Pick up the car and drive to the cirque of Salazie, a green haven.

Salazie – Saint-Pierre
Via the Plaine des Cafres and its views to Saint-Pierre, on the south coast.
Day 4
Piton de la Fournaise
An early start for one of the world's most active volcanoes (a walk of about 5 hours to the crater).

The wild south
The beaches, cliffs and tropical forests of the wild south.
Days 6-11
The cirque of springs, then the lagoons.
Day 6
Saint-Pierre – Cilaos
The famous winding road up to the village of Cilaos.
Day 7
Entre-Deux – Saint-Gilles
The Creole village of Entre-Deux and its colourful houses, then the west coast.

Saint-Gilles, free day
A free day on the beaches of the west.

Piton Maïdo
A drive through the cane fields and tamarind forests to Piton Maïdo, above 2,000 m.

Drive to the airport, drop off the car and fly to France.
