Days 1-3
After a short night in Cairo, an early flight leads to Luxor: the west bank and its tombs on the first day, Karnak temple the next.
Day 1
Arrival in Cairo
Flight to Cairo. Welcome on arrival, help with formalities and overnight in a hotel near the airport.
Day 2
Cairo – Luxor and Thebes
An early flight to Luxor, then leave for Thebes and the tombs of the pharaohs of the 18th to 20th dynasties, on the west bank of the Nile. Board the boat.
Day 3
Karnak – Esna – Edfu
A visit to the temple of Karnak, 2.5 km from Luxor, one of the most impressive creations of ancient Egypt. Sail towards Esna and Edfu.
Days 4-6
The boat sails upriver from temple to temple as far as Aswan, where the High Dam holds back the waters of the Nile.
Day 4
Edfu – Kom Ombo
A visit to the temple of Horus at Edfu, one of the best-preserved sites of ancient Egypt, then sail towards Kom Ombo.
Day 5
Kom Ombo – Aswan and the High Dam
Arrival in Aswan and a trip by air-conditioned coach to the High Dam, one of the most impressive in the world, with a photo stop.
Day 6
Abu Simbel – flight to Cairo
A morning excursion to Abu Simbel across the Nubian desert, and a visit to the temples cut into the rock. Return to Aswan and flight to Cairo.
Days 7-9
The trip ends in Cairo, in a 5* hotel near the pyramids: Dahshur and Saqqara one day, the Grand Egyptian Museum the next.
Day 7
Saqqara and Dahshur
A morning at the sites of Dahshur, with the Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid, then Saqqara.
Day 8
The Grand Egyptian Museum
A visit to the new Grand Egyptian Museum, a short walk from the pyramids of Giza, and its collection of objects from ancient Egypt.
Day 9
Flight home
Transfer to the airport, help with formalities and flight to France.
