Day 1
Arrival in Nairobi and one night there before boarding the next day's train.
Day 1
Arrival in Nairobi
Flight to Kenya. On arrival in Nairobi, meet our representative and transfer to the hotel. Dinner at leisure and overnight.
Days 2-3
The name Amboseli comes from the Maasai word "Empussel", the salty, dusty place. The park lies along the Tanzanian border, beneath Kilimanjaro.
Day 2
Nairobi – Madaraka Express train – Amboseli
Transfer to Nairobi station and board the Madaraka Express in first class as far as Emali (about 1 hour 30), then drive to Amboseli.
Day 3
A day on safari by 4x4 in Amboseli
Set off by 4x4 for a full day's safari in the heart of Amboseli National Park, along the Tanzanian border.
Day 4
The road runs north of Kilimanjaro and south of the Chyulu Hills before entering Tsavo West, whose wide plains and low vegetation make wildlife easy to spot.
Day 4
Amboseli – Tsavo West
Drive to Tsavo West, between Kilimanjaro and the Chyulu Hills, then enter the national park.
Days 5-9
A second train ride leads to the coast, for three nights in Mombasa between beach and pool.
Day 5
Tsavo West – Madaraka Express train – Mombasa
A last morning in Tsavo West, then transfer to Voi station and first-class train to Mombasa.
Day 6
Free day in Mombasa
A free day to enjoy the beach, the pool and the hotel's facilities. Activities and excursions are available at extra cost, payable locally.
Day 7
Free day in Mombasa
A free day to enjoy the beach, the pool and the hotel's facilities. Activities and excursions are available at extra cost, payable locally.
Day 8
Mombasa – flight home
Depending on flight times, transfer to Mombasa airport and flight back to France.
Day 9
Back in France
Arrival back in France.
