Flight to Bali
Flight to Denpasar, Bali. Dinner and night on board.
Day 2
Arrival – Tabanan
Welcome by your driver and transfer to your countryside hotel in the Tabanan region.
Day 3
Mengwi, Sangeh and Tanah Lot
The royal temple of Taman Ayun in Mengwi, surrounded by moats and UNESCO-listed, then the nutmeg forest of Sangeh and its monkeys, and Tanah Lot temple, on its wave-beaten rock, at sunset.
Day 4
Jatiluwih and Lake Bratan – Munduk
Suggestions: the villages of Babakan and Kaba-Kaba, Tambowaras temple, the Jatiluwih rice terraces and Lake Bratan, before Munduk.
Day 5
The Munduk waterfalls – Pemuteran
Suggestion: the Munduk waterfall trail, about 2 hrs 30 of easy walking with a local guide, then the road to Pemuteran on the north-west coast.
Day 6
Pemuteran, free day
A free day without the driver in Pemuteran, known for its coral reefs, quiet beaches and diving.
Days 7-10
A Buddhist monastery, Ubud and its dances, then the volcanoes to Sidemen.
Day 7
Brahma Vihara Arama – Ubud
Suggestion: the Brahma Vihara Arama monastery, the largest on Bali, its golden stupas and its view, then the road to Ubud.
Day 8
Ubud: the market and the Barong dance
Suggestions: Ubud market, the Barong dance in Batubulan, then the artists' villages of Petulu, Sebatu and Payangan.
Day 9
Ubud with your driver
A free day with your driver around Ubud.
Day 10
Kintamani and Besakih – Sidemen
Suggestions: a coffee plantation, the Kintamani caldera facing Mount Batur, Besakih, then Sidemen.
Days 11-16
Three nights on the island, one in Sanur.
Day 11
Crossing to Gili Trawangan
Transfer to Padang Bai harbour and a fast boat to Gili Trawangan (about 1 hr 30), then a cidomo, the local horse cart, to the hotel.
Day 12
Gili Trawangan, free day
A free day on Gili Trawangan: white sand, turquoise water for diving and snorkelling, and no cars on the island. Meals on your own.
Day 13
Gili Trawangan, free day
A free day on Gili Trawangan: white sand, turquoise water for diving and snorkelling, and no cars on the island. Meals on your own.
Day 14
Gili Trawangan – Sanur
Fast boat from Gili Trawangan to Sanur (about 2 hrs 30) and transfer to the hotel.
Day 15
Denpasar – flight home
A free morning before checking out at noon, then transfer to Denpasar international airport according to your flight time.
