A safari built around the Masai Mara, with a detour to the plains of Amboseli where Kilimanjaro stands on the horizon. Local guides, camps open onto the savannah, and the particular silence of African mornings.
After a first taste of Nairobi and its giraffe sanctuary, a light aircraft flight sets the trip down in the heart of the Masai Mara. The following days are built around dawn and dusk game drives, when the light is low and the big cats most active. A Maasai village visit and, optionally, a sunrise hot-air balloon safari — breakfast served out on the savannah — round out this first Kenyan chapter.
The trip continues to Amboseli, known for its unbeatable views of Kilimanjaro and the large elephant herds that cross its swamps at sunrise and sunset. Two days of morning and evening game drives allow time to watch these giants on their favourite ground, before returning to Nairobi for the international connection.
