A journey crossing the country in three movements: the Arenal volcano and its natural hot springs, the Monteverde cloud forest, then the beaches and wildlife of Manuel Antonio National Park.
The trip begins at the foot of the Arenal volcano, an almost perfect cone still active, its presence setting the tone for every evening spent in the surrounding natural hot springs. The La Fortuna waterfall and a canopy zipline precede the road to Monteverde, where hanging bridges allow crossing the cloud forest at tree height — an ecosystem so dense it shelters nearly half the country's bird species.
The descent to the Pacific coast changes the pace entirely — white sand beaches lined with dense jungle, where Manuel Antonio National Park, one of the country's smallest but richest, is explored in search of sloths clinging to branches and capuchin monkeys crossing the trails. The trip closes with one last morning on the beach, with no agenda beyond the sound of the waves.
