Ideal length
A journey in two movements: Cape Town, between its emblematic mountain and Western Cape vineyards, then a safari in Kruger, one of Africa's largest game reserves.
The trip begins at the foot of Table Mountain, climbed by cable car right at opening to beat the mist that often wraps around it by late morning. The Cape Peninsula, between the Boulders Beach penguin colony and the Cape of Good Hope, precedes a day in the Winelands — Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, where vineyards are tasted facing the mountains, far from the urban bustle.
The change of scale is total on arrival at the Kruger reserve, one of Africa's largest. A first safari in the late afternoon, a full day in an open 4x4 with an experienced tracker guide, and one last pre-dawn departure when predators are most active — the trip closes with a short bush walk, learning to read tracks on the ground rather than just watching from a vehicle.
